Supporting local farmers
Create a food system in Middle Georgia that values small scale, sustainable, all-natural agriculture and provides equitable food access to all.
To create community connectedness by bringing together farmers and consumers via education and collaboration with community partnerships.
Land to Hand was founded by Lori Freeman and Jodi Daley in 2014 to develop a more sustainable approach in managing our community farmers markets and special “foodie” events.
Several community leaders, farmers, business owners are working together to create a local food system in Middle Georgia and connect to other food movements around Georgia.
Land to Hand is the umbrella organization that manages two farmers markets. International City Farmers Market in Warner Robins, was founded in 2010 and is now the largest farmers market in Middle Georgia. Perry Farmers Market in Perry, was started in 2001. Several events are organized each year, such as Localicious and Farm Fresh Fridays Series, to bring awareness to our local food producers, chefs and food- based businesses.
Land to Hand is the local curator for Lexicon of Sustainability, a photography exhibit that travels around Middle and South Georgia focusing on sustainable agriculture.
